After a long hiatus, I am back. Not really felt the urge to blog for a while, but now it is back. Possibly because I have taken up running.
I’m running in the Bupa London 10k on Monday, for the Make A Wish Foundation. Should anyone want to sponsor me, my fundraising page is http://www.justgiving.com/helen-tamblyn. I am well aware that my time is going to be awful, but I know that I will finish and that’s the main thing. From here, the only way is up.
And just to show that there is to be no slacking off, I am doing the Brighton Marathon on 10th April 2011. In for a penny, in for a pound, I say. Hopefully, I will stop suffering insanity before I do something really stupid like entering a Triathlon. That would just be silly.
I have also joined a friendly running forum at http://www.therunningbug.co.uk. It’s not as scary as Runners World and it looks like it could be a good place to share tales of woe and success with regards to running. In my case, it will be tales of pain.
From this forum, I found out about something called the Juneathon (http://www.jog-blog.co.uk/juneathon-2010/), which involves running/walking 26.2 in June. No, you don’t have to do it all at once (thank god, frankly it’s daunting enough that I’ll be doing it next April!) but you do have to do something everyday and then blog about it. Which means that I’ll now be updating my blog on a daily basis again.
Speaking of the blog, it really needs a damn good makeover. Watch this space.
Hels x.
